Volunteer responsibilities:

  • Staff needle exchange sites reliably and consistently.
  • Attend bi-monthly staff and volunteer meetings.
  • Communicate concerns, ideas and suggestions to the coordinator.
  • Be familiar with the supplies offered at the site, this includes all safe injection supplies and the various syringes available.
  • Treat people with respect and in a non-judgmental manner this not only includes exchangers but also staff, outreach workers and other volunteers.
